Diagnostic evaluation session is the term we use to describe how to know about our patient in detail it is the proces of identifying the problems of patient through an interactive and by other means.Here there are so many questions to be asked to client which gives us information about client and that is helpful in identifying probems as soon as possible and provide a better treatment.This helps in understanding persons mood, behaviour and symptoms that cause difficulty in patients.

There are certain steps in in evaluating which incude:

clarify the points to be evaluated.

Assess resources and its evaluability

Determine appropriate methods of measurement.

collect data properly

process data and analyse results,

Throgh diagnosis we have gained a lot of information regarding patient including abot client history physical examination and certain other invesigations and examinations done.so through these obtained information we can prepare a diagnostic report.

There are both medical andnursing diagnosis in which medical diagnosis is mainly focussed by the physician where as nursng diagnosis is mainly focussed by the nurses.
