Add cheese in diet
Get an extra boost by mixing powdered milk in to milkshakes and smoothies.
Individual calorie needs should be calculated by a registered dietician.
Protien powder also can be included according to the physicians order.

Tube feeding procedure is , wash your hands prepare the formula for feeding by measuring and warm it to the desired temparature, or collect from diet department as per dieticiance advice. place the patient in a up right position by head end elivation in 45 degrees. Check the tube position as per guidelines ( Observing mark on Ng tube and pH testing) Clamp the tube, attach the feeding bag or syringe to the tube and start feeding. after feeding rinse the tube with water and reclamp the tube.
Wash feeding pouch or syringe clean the area.

A clear liquid diet is often used before tests, procedure or surgeries that require no food in your stomachor intestine such as before colonoscopy. Some times it may considered as short term diet for digestive problems such as nausea , vomiting .or after certain types of surgeries.
A full liquid diet is a liquid form food only allowed in the diet plan, Eg. soups, juices, smoothies.
