What do you consider to be the three most critical ethical dilemmas posed by social media use? Are these generally internal or external problems? How can you prevent these issues from happening?
An ethical dilemma refers to a decision making problem which is often faced when two moral principals have to be chosen and none of them can be chosen unambigously. Social media is been used today by all the industries especially health care, news, security or army eyc. But since it’s inception it has some serious ethical dilemmas. When the data is comunicated there is a huge risk of it being manipulated or interfered. This can cause serious problems for the communicators ie., the sender and the receiver. Also this disturba the privacy of the data being communicated. So basically the 3 eithical dilemmas that I feel are the most critical is of data privacy, data manipulation and virus which can cause serious damage to the data. These problems can be a mix of i ternal as well as external but when the i ternal controls of any organisation are good then the problem is mostly external. It simply means that when the firm has good controls internally then there is a chance that the problem might come from outside. These problems can be prevented upto ssome extent by using encrypcy ie., encrypted messaging. This reduces data manipulation and fata provacy is maintained. Also an anti virus can be used to protect the data. Another thing that can be done is to use strict measures for securing data.
