Identify three different specfific ethical dilemmas posed by the existence of assisted reproductive technologies (“Should…?” or "When is it acceptable to...?" or "Is it every morally justified to...?"). Choose one of the dilemmas you identified. And then list impacted stakeholders and briefly describe how each person/group/institution might be impacted. These impacts can be positive or negative.
Assisted reproductive tecnology includes invitro fertilization, surrogacy, infertility treatments.
Surrogacy is the most delicate process where people can have some ethical dilemmas because the lady who is capable of physically carrying child are selected for the procedure. Couples who are physically unfit to carry their child pregnancy opt for such procedure.
The surrogate mother have no further legal rights on the child after it's born. As actual biological parents have all the rights associated with the children.
Most of the people can feel discombort with such opinion and can impact the surrounding society. Two types of surrogacy is practised one is traditional surrogacy where male sperm is inseminated inside the surrogate mother. The other method is gestational surrogacy where invitro fertilization are carried out and then insemination procedure are done for the surrogate mother.
Some surrogate mothers might go through depression or emotional distress at the time of surrendering their child. On religious level too people have different opinion for such technique. Currently it is practise in India, Russia, few U.S. states, Thailand, Ukraine, and georgia like countries.
