1. difference between speed and velocity
speed - is rate of change of distance with respect to time
velocity - is rate of change of displacement wrt time.
speed - is scalar quantity
velocity - is vector quantity
speed- always positive
velocity - can be negative, or and positive
2. Rate of change of velocity with respect to time is called acceleration.
3. * when body is moving along a straight line its velocity can increase = speed up
* when body is moving along a straight line its velocity can decrease = slow down
* direction of motion may change = change its direction
4. speed units can be meter/second foot/second kilometer per hour miles per hour
velocity units can be meter/second foot/second kilometer per hour miles per hour (same as speed)
acceleration units can be meter/second square foot/second square kilometer per hour square
5. avearge speed = total distance travelled / total time taken = 10/40 = 0.25 m/s
