What are several solutions to prevent or mitigate COVID-19 cases now or in the future? Please list examples, Thanks
The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.
There are several ways help to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. These are
WASH HANDS
Wash your hands often with soap and water for atleast 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public space or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. It's especially important to wash:
1. Before eating or preparing food.
2. Before touching your face.
3. After using restroom
4. Leaving a public space.
5. After handling your mask.
6. After caring for someone sick.
7. After touching animals or pets.
If soap and water is not readily avaliable, use a hand sanitizer or alcohol based hand rub contain atleast 60% alcohol.
AVOID CLOSE CONTACT
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. If possible maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and others. Remember that some people without symptoms may be able to spread virus.
COVER YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE WITH A MASK
You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick. The mask is meant to pretect other people in case you are infected. Mask should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing or is unconscious or otherwise unable to remove mask without assistance.The mask is not a substitute for social distancing.
COVER COUGHS AND SNEEZES
Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw used tissues in a trash. Immediately wash your hand with soap and water or hand sanitizer.
CLEAN AND DISINFECT
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. If surfaces are dirty, clean them.
MONITOR YOUR HEALTH DAILY
Be alert of symptoms. Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19. Take your temparature if symptoms develop.
OLDER PEOPLE AND PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION
Older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions ( cardiovascular, chronic respiratory or diabetic) are risk for severe disease.
VACCINATION
There is currently no vaccines avaliable to prevent COVID-19. In the coming months, we all hope to have good news about a vaccine for COVID-19.
