before the pandemic attack of COVID19 tele health services had limited access to care and only for state residents.North Carolina's telehealth bill continous a flurry of telehealth and telemedicine registration filed in states over past couple of years.

North Carolina should consider some policies which would increase the access and decrease the burden o the health care system as a whole. In this research update, will describe the steps that NorthCarolina 's state governmenthas already taken in response to spread of the corona virus as well as look at some more policy recomendations that could be implemented to aid public health officials and private sector entity.

what could the state do?

Similar to a licensed physician from another state needing a North Carolina licence to provide in-person care in the state,an out of state physician would also need a North Carolina licence to provide medical care via tele medicine from another state.Tele medicine is very important tool to provide care while minimising contact wih others and decreasing the burten of health care system.

The state should waive requirments for out of statr telemedicine providers to increase the access for patients.Increasing access to telemedicinecould help tp coordinate patient care and keep unnecessary attempts to minimum.Telemedicine is very important to provide care while minimizing contact with others and decreasing the burden on health care systems.Any policy responses should focus onutilizing the current health care infrastructue the State already has, utilizing all medical proffessional as mush as possible in increasing the ways that patients can getdiagnosis or treatment with goalbeing to mitigate any further spread of virus.
