I believe that in palliative care we are responsible for providing maximum comfort for patients to optain maximum quality of life. In that sense, I believe that nurses are responsible for protecting the right of patient and giving importance to their belief .
for example, some group of people l believes that health results from a state of physical and emotional balance
illness may be viewed by some members to be a result of God's punishment for sin
some members may adhere to nontraditional health measures such as folk medicine
in some cases need to ask permission before touching a child when planning to examine or care for him ;some believe that touching the child is important when speaking to the child to prevent evil-eye
NURSES AND OTHER HEALTH WORKERS ARE responsible for treating each patient and individuals with respect and bevare of differences and diversity of beliefs about health, illness, and treatment modifications
If health care recommendations , interventions, or treatments do not fit within the client's cultural values, they will not be followed.
It is important that nurses need to be flexible and avoid rigidity in scheduling care.
