1. An analytical cross sectional study design would be appropriate to Number of new cases of obesity among college students in Saudi Arabia in 2019 since it involves the data at a given point of time at a particular place.

2. When we have to compare the outcomes of different variables analytical case control study designs are used. Hence it would be the appropriate choice to assess The number of students with obesity who are physically active and the number of students with obesity who are physically inactive. Here obesity is the outcome and variables are physically active and inactive.

• It does not follow a research hypothesis.

Analytical cross sectional study
