The objective of aged care system to understanding the issues facing older people and their carersm. As a support worker it's need to understand issues facing by the client and help them in the best possible way. You must always be tolerant and understand the individual nature. Support workers should be aware of things that accept their clients. It is also the support workers responsibility to watch for changes in an older persons ability to think. Older people may require more help if their cognitive ability changes. It may not be safe for them to stay at home. They may need someone to watch them closely.they may need help with more task. It need to record changes or problem and report is their is concern. The social changes that an older person may experience are it harder to socialise with friend's, find it harder to meet new people, older friends may die or family may move away. Getting out to do things or staying in touch with people may get harder. We can help older people to manage social changes by encouraging, supporting. Family changes also affect the older person by means of childen grow up and have their own families, people move away , people get busy with life and may spend less time with an older person. Family member may not be like being carers find it hard to be . People may not have the skill needed to be a carrier and they feel uncomfortable. As family changes, aa older person may need help from other places such as respite care which gives impaid carers a rest by providing care for a short time. Service like this can help older people stay at home longer. Many people enjoy talking and being with older people. They belive it is great having older people in the community. However other's think older people should stop work as soon as they are 65 year old. They believe older people should go into aged care home when they are old. Some people believe older people cannot do all these things a younger person can do. We have to encourage older people to continue dinhy things that interest them , support older people to travel to social centers and explain to family member and others the value of the older person participle activity.
