Expert Solution

The center of Milky way galaxy region is producing gamma rays, as observed by Fermi space telescope. The real question that is baffling the astronomers is about the source of these Gamma rays.
Astronomers still dont understand what's producing these high energy radiation. Speculated possible sources of their origin could be either PULSARS or DARK MATTER PARTICLES collisions.
The innermost central regions of galaxies show extreme physical processes. In the vicinity of a spinning supermassive black hole, tremendous amount of energy is release, often in the form of most energetic form of light ie, high energy gamma ray photons at mega or even gigaelectronvolt energies.
These black holes feeds on surrounding stars, gas and dust, matter is spiraling in onto the black hole and strong magnetic fields channel some of the infalling gas into two powerful, well collimated "jets" of plasma accelerating away from the center with velocities approaching the speed of light.
THE PRODUCTION OF HIGH ENERGY GAMMA RAY PHOTONS AND THEIR PLACE OF ORIGIN INSIDE THE JET, OR THE ORIGIN OF STRONG OUTBURSTS OF EMISSION ACROSS THE WHOLE ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM IS STILL A MYSTERY, as many of the connected physical processes are not yet understood in detail so far by astronomers.
