Essay: 2 [ x - (4 + 2x) + 3 ] - 2x - 2 = 4 [2x - (3 - x) + 5] + 6x + 28

Students, you have to do an essay for this discussion. The essay is consist of a introduction, a body, and a conclusion. You have write this essay like you are teaching your children, co-worker, or a stranger how to work this problem. The introduction is where you will define all of the terms of the problem and list all the rules. In which, you tell me what type of problem it is, if it's an equation and linear, if it has parenthesis and bracket, which have to be defined and what you would to solve the problem. The body is where you will work the problem, write out in sentence structure how you work the problem. Make sure you put the problem in your essay and everything that you did to work the problem. Lastly, the conclusion is where you will explain what the person should get for working the way that you worked it, and what they should learn

Solutions

Expert Solution

2 [ x - (4 + 2x) + 3 ] - 2x - 2 = 4 [2x - (3 - x) + 5] + 6x + 28

Introduction

This is a linear first degree equation where solving x is seeked. Notice that the highest power of the term x is 1 so it is linear while the other terms are constant. Also notice that there are only 2 types of the operations are defined in the equation, addition and subtraction.

To solve the problem, you will have to first solve the brackets followed by the usual arithmetic.

Usually in such cases BODMAS order rule is followed, which means Bracket, Division, Multiplication, Addition and subtraction.

Body

2 [ x - (4 + 2x) + 3 ] - 2x - 2 = 4 [2x - (3 - x) + 5] + 6x + 28

Solve the equation by first solving the () brackets.

2 [x - 4-2x + 3] - 2x - 2 = 4 [2x-3+x+5] + 6x + 28

2 [-x-1] - 2x - 2 = 4 [3x + 2] + 6x + 28

solve the [] brackets

-2x - 2 - 2x - 2 = 12x + 8 + 6x + 28

-4x-4 = 18x + 36

Get all the x terms one side and constant term other side

18x + 4x = -4 - 36

22x = -40

x = -40/22 = -20/11 = -1.818..

Conclusion

x is equal to -20/11
