What two condition have to exist for Creep to occur?
Creep is defined as the slow and permanent deformation of a material when it is subjected to a load at given temperature even below the yield point. It is a them dependant property.
1. Creep is severe when material is subjected to elevated temperature near ot melting point temperature.
2. When material is subjected to a given stress less than yield point for a long duration then it will fail even below the yield point stress.
