This Data comes from the 2012 American Community Survey. PA workers, ages 18-40. Below the Table, You need to compute the Mean and Standard Devidation of each column. Use the =average() and =stdev() functions in Excel to do so.
There are 2 types of Variables here. Dummy variables answer a Yes/No Question, with 1 meaning 'yes'. For example, a 1 for Female suggests the person if female. The Mean of a Dummy Variable gives the Prevalence of that Characteristic: the proportion of the sample with the Characteristic. Age and Wage variable are continuous, meaning they have a large range.
