Profession is a job which someone do with commitment and responsibility.It requires formal education which means the person should have educational qualification from an authorized university or from a college.It requires special skills and training.The best examples of profession are doctors,nurses,engineers,teachers e.t.c.For become a nurse one should complete the Bsc Nursing course from a recognized university.To be a part of profession means all the relative things which comes under the part of profession.For example, all the duties and responsibities of  a nurse is a part of nursing profession.

The difference between profession and occupation:

1.profession needs an education qualification from a university.But an occupation not needs an educational qualification.

2.Profession is an occupation which requires knowledge and skill in a specific field.But occupation is a routine work which people do for livelihood.

3.For a profession training is mandatory and for occupation training is not mandatory.

4.profession has specific code and conduct but occupation not have a specific code and conduct.

5.Profession has to follow some vision and discipline.Occupation not need to follow vision and discipline.

6.For a profession payment is based on the education level and skill.For an occupation payment is based on working hours.

7.eg of profeasion are engineers,accountant,nurses

Eg of occupation are driver,farmer

1.Nurses need to follow codes and conducts.

2.They must use their educational qualification and training in clinics for the care of patients.

3.Nurses need to update their knowledge .

4.Nurses should provide quality care to the patients.

5.They need to follow some standards according to the hospital policies.

6.Integrity,moral,empathy ,discipline needs to be maintained.

7.Always collabarate with other health care professionals to maintain continuity of care.

8.Equal care should be given irrespective of caste,religion,sex,age,race and nationality.

9.Needs to advocate the patient.

10.Nurse should provide health education to patients .
