Environmental law means the laws that regulate the impact of human activities on the environment. Environmental law covers a broad range of activities that affect air, water, land, flora or fauna.
Human health risk assessment is the process to assess the nature and probability of adverse health effects in humans who may be exposed to chemicals in contaminated environment.
The risk assessment process include the following steps :-
- hazard identification
- dose response assessment
- exposure assessment
- risk characterisation
The two approaches for assessing and managing risk in major federal environmental health laws are :-
- Qualitative approach ( it uses observation and interpretation method ) for risk assessment .
- Quantitative approach ( it uses measure and test method ) for risk assessment .
