Which tissue type is most likely to be where cancer begins or can cancer occur at the same prevalence in all tissue types?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Epithelial tissue is the tissue type most likely to be affected by cancer. Cancer that develop in the epithelial cells are known as Carcinoma. Carcinomas include 90% of human cancers.

There are different type of epithelial tissue and they can develop into different types of carcinoma.

Squamous cell carcinoma starts in the squamous cells

Adenocarcinoma starts in glandular cells known as adenomatous cells.

Transitional cell carcinoma starts in transitional cells

Basal cell carcinoma starts in basal cells.

1. Allopatric speciation is most likely to occur in which of the following scenarios? Group of answer choices There are two distinct possible feeding strategies within a given population, causing the rise of two species living in the same geographic area. All of the “parent” species of a new species go extinct, reducing gene flow between populations. A mutation changes the mating ritual followed by a subset of individuals in a population, and they end up forming an all-new species....
