A workbook template is a pre defined template which can be used to create a workbook as an excel file to store data. When we first create a workbook template it is a blank workbook. Then we can store whatever data we want into the workbook. An example of workbook template use is when it can be used in automation so that everyday whenever a data is fetched from a particular server it can be automatically be converted into a workbook using the template.

The benefits of using a workbook templates are:

1) It saves a lot of time by automatically creating a workbook template.

2) You can customise your own workbook for a particular task and these workbooks are consistent.

3) The reports that you make are consistent and you can create a template which can be used again and again in some other task and then it can be changed by anyone according to their needs.
