Introspection is a kind of self evaluation of what people perceive about things, events and people. It's about thinking it over and changing the way we live or do things. Different people when look at the same object make different interpretations. It's also becoming aware of or creating a self awareness programme for the self.
Although the gender equality needs to be maintained, in my opinion, the experiment will change if the variable for the introspection is gender because of the phusialogical, emotional and societal differences.
Edward Thitchner argued that any mental state could be scientifically measured and Wilhelm Wundt has told that introspection is purely the examination of one's conscious thoughts and feelings. The trickiest part is that women were never allowed to be there in the experimental rooms or as subjects until Thitchner's death. So there was a huge disparity in their findings even.
