REASONS OF
SURVEILLANCE BY EMPLOYER-
supervision is a process to look what
is being done by the workers,it is an important process to ensure
the effective formulation of management, and to lead the men power
in the productive and prosperous way,various reasons have been
stated below for the importance of surveillance by the owner or the
employer.
- TO ENSURE QUALITY OF
PRODUCTION-this process is important so that the goods
produced by the workers are of uniform and designated
quality.
- TO MINIMIZE THE WASTAGES DONE BY THE
WORKERS-it is necessary so that the labor incur less
wastage,it would ultimately increase the efficiency of
labors.
- TO ATTAIN THE EFFECTIVE PRODUCTION
PROCESS FROM THE WORKERS-there should be proper discipline
in the working environment of the firm.therefore this process
becomes important.
- TO ENSURE THE ENGAGEMENT OF
LABOR/WORKERS IN THE PRODUCTIVE PROCESS-this process is
required to ensure that the labor is engaged only in those work
which they are suppose to do and don't waste the time in irrelevant
work.
- TO ENSURE THE WORK IS BEING EXECUTED IN
THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND IN RIGHT MANNER-this process is for
the cross verification that the work is being done in the right
direction and if any deviation is found then it could be
corrected.
- TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM LEVEL OF OUTPUT FROM
THE LABOR IN CONSIDERATION-this is necessary to get the
maximum work from the labor in consideration of wages provided to
them.
NEGATIVE
CONSEQUENCES OF EXCESSIVE SURVEILLANCE ON
WORKERS
- LACK OF
CONFIDENCE AMONG WORKERS-if there is excessive
interference of employer then the workers would lose their
confidence towards the assigned duty.
- LOW
MORALE-the morale of the workers would be down,they
would be afraid to take new challenge concerned with work.
- LACK OF
INITIATIVE-workers would not be able to
take decision as per their capability and efficiency instead of
this they would have to work under the rules prescribed by the
management and thus there would be lack of initiative among the
workers.
- LACK OF TRUST
AND BELIEF-there would be lack of trust and belief
among the owner and the workers which would adversely impact the
working of the firm.
- HARSH ATTITUDE
TOWARD WORK-the workers would be harsh towards
their assigned job and won't contribute their maximum efforts in
their jobs.
- FEELING OF
EXPLOITATION BY THE EMPLOYERS-the workers would
feel that they are manipulated by the employers and they are
exploiting the workers.
