What techniques could a person use to avoid conforming with unjust authority
Moral consideration is very important. When you are asked to do something by an authority, you should consider whether you would have done something like that on your own, without anyone commanding you do it. If your answer is no, and if it is morally unacceptable, then automatically you should not be doing it.
Consider whether the authority is really rightfully in telling you what to do. Just because they are an authority does not mean that they you have to obey them in whatever they are saying.
If you have even the slightest doubt regarding what you you asked to do or feel uncomfortable in performing the action, then pause and think whether you should be doing it.
If all the people in your group are commanded to do some thing by an authority, which is unjust, then it always a good idea to convince others in a group against the command, as this will lend you support from others in the group.
