Licensed practical nurse is provide health care services under the supervision of registered nurse .The center focus on the care is patient. The goal is to provide quality health care services to all patient with out any discrimination .
Licensed practical nurse provide patient care in variety of setting including critical care areas, emergency department, ward and outpatient department. The ultimate objectives is to provide direct patient care.
LPN should work following the etiquette rules of medicine. The responsibility of LPN include
:plan and provide care to the patient according to the health care needs. Interview the patient and collect history and assess the condition of patient.
:provide routine care of patient and assisting there in performing daily living activities.
:medication administration.
:review medical chart.
:observe patient health.
:communicate effectively with patient and family members.
:wound care.
Check vital signs
:Collect samples for laboratory examination.
:Assist physician and registered nurse.

Etiquette rules that followed as a LPN
Etiquette rules are the code of good manners that a nurse should follow .As a LPN we have the responsibility to follow these rules that is,
:should courteous to all, be gentle and pollite
:greet seniors, coworker and patient with appropriate words.
:address seniors with proper title .
:stand up when people of higher rank enter the room .
:open the door for senior and stand aside for them to pass .
:keep dress neet and tidy.
:maintain silence whenever necessary.
:while on duty never use any form of jewelleries that may interfere with our work.
:obey seniors with out arguing.
:say thank you,if anybody do any favors for you .
:keep eye to eye contact, sit face to face when listening to some one.
:Be punctual always.
:never let any secret go out of you.
:do not cover the mouth while talking to others .
:excuse yourself when interfere with others talk
These all are the etiquette rules that a nurse should follow, this will help to work effectively with other health care team members and thus provide effective patient care according to the health care needs of the patient and also improve the knowledge.
