The impact of the Roman conquest on Britain was as follows:
- The invasion affecte dthe language, culture, geopraphy and
architecture of Britain.
- The British were divided into tribes and fought wars to settle
their dispute which was earlier before the invasion was done
through a legal system
- There were no proper roads except for trackways and all
infrastructure was affected.
- The ROmans built towns only in the south for their own economic
profit, in the north people lived in huts.
- The British paid taxes to the Romans and they built villas in
the country side to live in.
- Roman soldiers garrisoned throughout the country and some
British tribes were enslaved and made as Auxilliaries to join the
army
- The Romans introduced the system of money to barter gooods and
insisted that taxes should be paid in roman coins.
- The British were allowed to only follow their own religious
practises if they followed Roman gods as well.
