Copyright terms are very long now compared to when copyrights were first used in the USA. The Constitution states that intellectual property protection should be for “a limited time”. It seems like every time the Disney Corporation’s copyrights on early Mickey Mouse cartoons are at risk for expiration, Congress extends the law. Is current law at odds with the Constitution on this issue?

Yes. From the above information it could be said that the current law is at odds with the constitution. As we all know Disney Corporation is a huge entity and a very famous one. It is one of the main tourist spots in USA. There are a lot of foreigners who visit USA just to go to DIsney Land.
So, a company which is so huge and popular will definetely have their fair share of contatcs in the Congress and so it wouldnt be that big of a task for them to make this happen.
What we need to consider here is that, whether this occurs only in regards to Disney corporations mickey mouse or if there are other companies as well for whom such changes take place at times.
This is for sure in odds with what is said in the Constitution as their it is said that copyrights should only be valid for a 'limited time' but in this case it has been forever. This will lead to the people losing faith in the congress and also in the Constitution. The constitution should not be something that can be altered so easily. It has to be followed by one and all.
