Nursing is a profession within the health care it's focused on the care of individuals, families and communities so they may attain recover optimal health and quality of life. Nurses tend to the needs of patient and their loved ones, assist doctors, prepare patients for treatment and generally keep health care facilities running smoothly. Nursing concept include,health,illness,stress and health promotion.
In 19th century
In the 19th century most cultures produced a stream of nurses dedicated to service on religious people. In Europe before the foundation of modern nursing catholic runs and the military often provided nursing like services.. 19th century nursing to become a secular profession. Nurses develop a plan of care, working collaboratively with doctors,therapist,the patient family, and other team members that focuses on treating illness to improve quality of life.
20th century
In 20th century during the nurses made tremendous advancements in the areas of education, practice, development of theory and rigorous research. The education of nurses to hospital rather than colleges. A tie that was not definitively broken until 20th century. The hospital based training model also reinforced segregation in society and the health care system.
Today the demand for nursing increase high and projections suggest that such demand will substensively increased. Advance in health care technology, rising expectations of people seeking care and recogonization of health care system require. Nursing educational structures also changed .dependence on hospital based training schools declined and those schools were replaced with collegative programmmes either in community or technical colleges or in university. The bsn is now recommended level of education for nursing for employment as regreated nurse. Nurse also have to be technologically savy while demonstrating cost efficiency as they provide quality care.
