Circumcision is a religious ceremony in some religions, but merely a medical procedure for other persons. Circumcision of males often occurs shortly after birth but requires the consent of a parent. For this assignment, research Pennsylvania laws on circumcision and see if rules that regulate safety in circumcision procedures apply to all such procedures, or whether there are exceptions to this regulation when conducted for religious reasons. Should a child be required to consent to the procedure? Consider and analyze the ethics of these policies, both from the perspective of the religion and the perspective of the infant males. Your response should be well-crafted. More important than length is your ability to demonstrate a thoroughness of critical thought and a consideration of a variety of scenarios.
