What are your thought on female circumcision? What's your opinion on girls who want to get the procedure done in a sanitary environment with anesthesia?

Honestly speaking according to me, female circumcision is one of the worst thing ever invented by human kind. In many places around the world, just after the birth womens are being taught that their body is not perfect. Even in modern day world like today, female's body part are cut, altered and even reshaped on the basis of religion and their tradition. This practice has no scientific benefit at all instead can cause some serious health complications, severe infections, long term pain and infertility. This horrible practice also signifies that doesn't matter how much importance we give to big taglines of women empowerment these days, but the truth is somewhere down there remains the ashes of gender inequaltities in our society.

I strongly believe that these kind of practice should be strongly condemend as well as abandoned on international levels. And if that is not possible and a women has to undergo such process anyways then atleast she should be provided with the right to get the procedure done in a sanitary environment with anesthesia. Just thinking of such process can give a person chills and shivers about the level of pain a women has to wear during the process. If this practice is so important for the sake of a communities tradition then at least they can try to make it pain free. In today's world, advanced laser circumcision procedures are available which are typically painless and bloodless and have very litttle chances of infection. For the sake of humanity, such procedures must be promoted in these communities.
