The marketing mix focuses on what the business has to offer to its customers. The 4P of marketing mix stands for,

  • Price
  • Promotion
  • Place
  • Product

If the Promotion part is to be focused on, it can be further divided into various types of promoting like,

  • Advertising
  • Word of mouth marketing
  • Sales promotion
  • Public relations

Promotional mix means that the customers are made aware about the products in the coffee shop and are shown in such a way that they are convinced to come and try the product.

A coffee shop can earn a goid reputation in the locality if served good products. In the marketing of a coffee shop, word of mouth advertising can prove to be very useful in the area. Sales promotion and advertising through media like newspapers, magazines, pamphlets, banners, etc can boost the sales of shop. On-Premises advertising can also be helpful for the coffee business. And in today's age nothing can be more effective especially among youths than digital advertising and social media. Make sure that the coffee shop has a social media account where it regularly updates all the variety of coffee and other accompanying snacks you offer. One can use techniques like coupons and groupon on social media which can be scanned at the coffee shop through customer's mobile phones.

One can also advertise on leading websites through targeted display ads like Google Ads will connect the advertisement to potential customers based on their needs. Another way to attract the youth population is by having free wifi for customers. You can also host events to satisfy customers like poem reading or a guitarist or singer or a live match etc.

Loyalty programs can be done like drink N number of coffee and get the Nth one free or get a muffin free etc. This can be helpful to attract and keep daily customers. If the customers have more than one coffee shops in the locality, then make sure that your coffee business provides the customers something that the others don't.

Various kinds of coffee and other accompanying products that the shop offers must be known to the customers. So good and attractive pictures of the products must be taken and included in the menu, the brochures, social media and even within the coffee house. This way the customer sees the product, likes its appearance and would want to try it.
