Solutions

Expert Solution

patient seems to damage the reticular layer of the dermis,he also cut the subcutaneous fascia and cause fracture in a metacarpel.

The reticular dermis is lower layer of dermis and its is denser.it supports other components of the skin such as hair follicles, sweat glands, sebaceous gland. The subcutaneous fascia is the deepest layer underneath the reticular dermis just above the deep fascia.its main function is to protect the bones ,muscles, organs under the skin from physical damage by storing fat around it.metacarpal bone or metacarpus is a bone which form the intermediate part of the hand located between phalanges of the fingers and carpel bones of the wrist which forms connection to forearm.

the patient ruptured the reticular layer of dermis causing damage to subcutaneous fascia which will be a deep cut and also fractured the metacarpal bone.

To fix the issue , see a healthcare provider for a deep cut.the patient should visit a orthopaedic surgeon and wear a cast.the cast is usually wear for 3 to 6 weeks until the fracture heals.apply antibiotic oinment in the cut area until the wound heals.by the advice of health care proffessional take medications for pain and fast healing.patient should also follow gentle motion exercises.
