Ethically speaking, how much money and resources should the United States contribute to reducing global health disparities, given that the US has disparities of its own? Give your position in a few sentences.

Ethically speaking ,US is contributing millions and millions of money and resources to reduce the global health disparities.US government global health efforts helps  to improve the health of the people in low income and middle income countries and also the developing countries, while also contribyting to broader US global development goals, foreign policy prorities ,and global  security concerns.The Unites states has been participated  in international health activities for quite century and today is that the largest and important funder and implementer of worldwide health programs. Many different United states government departments and agencies, congressional committes, and funding streams are involved in these efforts.

Through various   bilateral programs and multilateral engagement, the United states supports and helps activities that address a variety of worldwide health challenges (including HIV, malaria, birth control and reproductive health, and maternal and child health) in more than 70 countries.Total united states  global health funding was $11 billion in FY 2019, up from $5.4 billion in FY 2006, the current Administration has proposed a significant reduction in  global health funding for FY 2020.

The US role in global health is multifaceted.The US government :-Acts as a donor by providing financial and other health sector related development assistance (e.g : commodities, like contraceptives for birth control , bed nets to stay away  from disease carrying mosquitoes) to low income and middle income countries, operates programs and provides health services, provides technical assistance and participates in major international health organizations through global health diplomacy and other efforts, conducts research, supports international responses to disasters and other emergencies, and partners with governments, non-governmental groups, and therefore the private sector.

In short US is contributing much money and resources to reduce global health disparities.
