4. Summarize the links between antigen recognition, the major biochemical signaling pathways in T cells, and the production of transcription factors
. 5. What is the principle growth factor for T cells? Why do antigen-specific T cells expand more than other (bystander) T cells on exposure to an antigen?
4. The link between the antigen recognition ,T cell signaling pathways and production of transcription factors :
Antigen recognition by T Cell is a process mediated by the T cell receptor that is TCR. T cell selectively recognizes the antigen , depending on the antigen and type of the histocompatibility molecule.
T Cell signaling pathways are activated by the recognition of antigen. T cell receptor play a key role in functioning of T cell and formation of the immunological synapse. . It provide connection between T cell and the antigen presenting cell. The T cell molecules expressed on the surface of antigen presenting cells and recognizes by T cell receptor on the surface T cells .
The transcription factors are protein that regulate the transcription of Gene's. This transcription factors differentiate T Cell into T regulatory cells.
So these are link together by T cells of identifying antigen recognition and signaling pathways are activated by recognition of antigen and that transcription factors differentiate the T cells .
5. Principle growth factor for T cells
IL-2 interleukin 2 is growth factor of T cells IL-2 is necessary for growth ,proliferation and differentiation of T cells in to effector T cells.
IL-2 considered the principle growth factor for T lymphocytes. The activity of IL-2 preparation is assessed by the degree to which they support the growth of Various IL-2 dependent cells lines.
During the exposure to antigens The Antigen specific T cells expand more because of they form a large pool of effector cells to react against infections . T Cell expansion must be carefully regulated to ensure efficient response to infections.
