Qualitative research used in health care when there are obstacles and barriers to make changes by providing reason with activity process and certain behavior. for example, qualitative research and data are observable. root cause analysis (RCA) investigates and solves the problem by identifying and understanding the underlying causes of potential events. RCA find uncover causes of the problem with associated factors like lack of education, situational factors, etc. this analysis help identify ineffective safety barriers and cause for the quality problem that can be prevented in the future.
Quantitative research is a mathematical technique to improve health care quality that optimizes the health care process and improve waiting times. quantitative research involves detailed analysis with various quality dimensions for the patients that influence patient satisfaction. For example, Quantitative methods are based on studies and use experiments and survey as a method. Randomized control trial(RCT) for the quantitative method appropriate for testing for the intervention and treatment. Quantitative research for health care quality using counting occurrence, more focus on frequent events, isolating incidents using computer programs that help manage large data sets research make comparisons, identify patterns, and develop interpretations. using mathematical technique and evaluation process quantitative research improve quality and solve the problem in health care.
