Identify two major obstacles or challenges that an employer might confront when transitioning to a self-funded employee health insurance plan and discuss how those two obstacles or challenges might be mitigated or addressed.
The major challenges are; Lack of alignment among the employees and lack of sufficient measures of the quality care. Though we have other several challenges that employer might face, these two are the major obstacles. We can address these challenges in numerous ways. Lack of alignment among the workers can be addressed by interrogating providers and other physicians to state the higher quality of the lower cost to bring payment and care changes that are required to support them. Motivate workers to support reforms of the regional payment and to select plans that are healthy that will be done in a better manner. They should provide payment reforms to a large number of providers basically on an ongoing basis. In addition, they can utilize both regional and government improvement of health together to enable goodwill among employees.
To curb the obstacle of insufficient measure of the care quality measures should be created for the entire procedures and conditions that will steer crucial cost amounts. Outcome results may be used rather than process measures to allocate the providers the ability to create support and care for the choice of effective patients. The Regional improvement health collaboration may be used to obtain information from patients.
