1) The elderly persons require safe environment innorder to avoid dangerous situations. They should be provided with clean, pollution free, clutter free environment. Firstly,the surrounding areas should be cleaned properly by changing linen,dusting walls, carpet and every nook and corner of house to prevent infections. Secondly, the carpets should be secured properly, sharp objects should be kept safely to avoid accidents.

2) There are various measures used to meet the communication needs of the elderly . They are as follows:

* Use always simple, short, words and sentences ,speak slowly and loudly with them.

* Maintain eye contact with the patient while communicating.

* Listen to the them patiently without interrupting and give bthem extra time.

3) walking is one of the exercises which help to improve blood circulation, strengthen the muscles and prevent them from diseases.

4) There are various walking aids for the elderly persons.

1) canes: The common types of canes used are quad canes, forearm canes and adjustable canes.

2) crutches: They are mostly like canes which helps to transfer weight to upper part of the body. It is usually available in pairs.

3) walkers: It has metal frames of 4 legs. Sometimes it has wheels which helps to move fast to the preferred directions.

4) wheel chairs: it is mostly used for the patients who cannot put weight on their lower limbs.

Other devices such as rollators, knee scooters and mobility scooters are also used for older people to commute.
