  1. Hopital care - This accounts for at least 31% of all the healthcare spending in the United States. It is by far the highest as far s spending is concerned. The spending of Hospital care comes from three main sources that is private insurance, medicaid and medicare. This is due to the rise in chronic conditions as well as a frail and an aging population
  2. Clinical services - This accounts for 21% of all the healthcare spending in the United States. Clinical services means the services provided by physicians in clinics as well as outpatient care centers such as clinical procedures and surgeries. THis is is also inclusive of all the medical laboratories bills
