Which diet do you think is the one which creates the best environment for your cells so that they can function at their optimum level. Why?
Tell me how the foods in the diet affect your cells, groups of cells, organs and glands so that they can function optimally. How?
How do your foods affect pH, sugar balance and the needs of your cells? How?
Understanding that your lymphatic system is the sewer system of the body, how do your foods help the lymphatic system get rid of the garbage waste of your body?
The medium required for optimal cell growth requires several micronutrients, such as vitamins and trace elements apart from carbohydrates and proteins. The proteins provided through diet should include the essential amino acids like Arginine, Valine, Leucine, Isoleucine, etc. as the cells cannot produce these themselves. Fats are also required as they help in maintaining the integrity of the cell membrane.Vitamins such as B1,2,3,4,5,6,12 play a role in the functioning of enzymes. So do elements like Iron, Molybdenum, Copper, Magnesium, Sodium, etc. Their need varies from cell to cell, depending on the functioning of the cell.
Cells are the structural and functional units of living organisms. Thus, irrespective of the level of organisation, the foods have the same effect, only that it is more pronounced and visible at higher levels. However, some of the food items can have a central effect, leading to activation of muscarinic and nicotinic receptors that cause to central or endocrine stimulation. For example, The calcium from spinach upon getting relesed into the blod stream stimulates the thyroid gland innormal individuals which leads to release of thyroid hormone calcitonin, for calcium absorption.
Acidic foods like tomato increase the acidity of the stomach and are also known to precipitate as calcuim oxalate crystals in kidneys. As the food irrespective of the source does contain carbohydrates, which is converted to sugar in blood, generally, the sugar levels in the medium in which our cells grow increase after meal, the intake of sugar is dependent on hormones like insulin, glucagon, etc.
The lymphatic system produces lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) that produces special proteins called antibodies which help the body fight off germs. Thus, an adequate intake of proteins is essential in order for your body to produce these antibodies.
Vitamin C is important for the production of the antibodies. zinc is mandatory for production and activation of lymphocytes. Low levels of zinc are often associated with an increased risk of infection.Bananas are a good source of vitamin B-6. Not getting enough of B-6 prevents the production of lymphocytes that helps lymphatic system fight off infection that may impair proper drainage, according to the Linus Pauling Institute.
