Do you consume too much fat in your diet? Perhaps, not enough? What do you think? What types of fat do you consume the most? What kind of ailments are tied to fat consumption?
Do you know anyone with heart issues? How do they eat? Is there a relationship there?
1. No I am not consuming more fatty diet. I am taking moderate amount which means 20- 35% of total calorie intake per day.
2. I am taking more or less same amount of saturated fatty foods like milk, chicken, egg etc., and unsaturated fatty foods in two forms monounsaturated foods like peanut oil, almond etc., and fish, wallnut, corn which are polyunsaturated foods etc.,
3. Ailments tied to fat consumption
Saturated fats are considered as bad cholesterol as it increases the serum cholesterol levels. It increases the chance of heart diseases and cancer.
4. Yes one of my relative had myocardial infarction and he has undergone coronory artery bypass surgery. He consumes more saturated fatty foods like redmeat, chicken, fried fried foods etc., His serum cholesterol levels is high. It caused plaque formation in the coronory artery and finally block in the coronory artery. This is the reason for his myocardial infarction.
