Would you trade off some other benefits (like dental insurance) to have a student loan repayment benefit instead? Explain your answer.

Solutions

Expert Solution

I will not trade off these benefits, because student loan repayment benefits are fixed in nature and it depends upon the student loans taken and it is for once only. But, benefits like dental insurance gives wider coverage, brings assurance against the unexpected expenses and these benefits are recurring in nature. So, these benefits will be there for the lifetime or till the time, I am eligible to get that. It makes these benefits more valuable than that of the benefits of student loan repayment. Hence, It will not be wise to trade off as mentioned in the problem statement.
