Analyse nomination and situational tests as methods of personality assessment.
Nomination:
a) This method is often used in obtaining peer assessment.
b) It can be used with persons who have known each other for a long time.
c) Each person has to choose one or more persons from the group with whom they would like to work, interact or do a task. The person later has specify the reason for her/his choices.
d) Nominations received is analysed to understand the personality and behavioral quality of the person.
e) This test is highly dependable and can be biased.
Situational Tests:
a) Situational stress test is one of the commonly used test for personality assessment.
b) It provides us with information about how a person behaves under stressful situations.
c) The tests requires a person to perform a given task with other persons who are instructed to be non cooperative and interfering.
d) The person is instructed to play a role for which she/ he is observed. A verbal report is also obtained on what she/he was asked to do.
e) The situation may be realistic one, or it may be created through a video play.
