Solutions

Expert Solution

It is very important to secure intellectual property in its digital format because there are safety concerns which might result in theft of intellectual property if it is not secured in digital format. The hard copy must be either kept in a vault or destroyed so that it does not reach to anyone who can take advantage of that. All the intellectual property information must be secured digitally since it is confidential information and must be secured safely and digital storage is considered very safe medium.

The information data also needs to be secured in digital format but it is not as critical as intellectual property since information data has to be processed in order to generate meaningful research and result out if that data. Hence though it is important to protect that data but it is not as valuable as intellectual property because of the criticality involved due to misuse of intellectual property and potential issues arising out of that misuse.
