The major players if US health service system are the administrators iof health service institutions that seek to maximize reimbursement from private and public insurers,physicians who want to increase their incomes and have the least amount of interference with theway they practice medicine, large employers who want to reduce the cost they incur by providinghealth insurance as a benefit to their employees, insurance executives who are interested inpreserving their share of the healthcare insurance market and finally the government who tires tomaintain or increase existing benefits for select population groups and simultaneously decreasethe cost of providing these aids. Since each player has economic self interest to protect itproduces countervailing forces within the system. A negative effect in my opinion is that theymake it very challenging to attain system wide reforms. but on the other hand, one positive effectof these opposing forces is that they avoid single entity from dominating the system .
