Climate plays very important role in the design criteria at the time of construction or designing of the building. It happens due to the effect of the climate such as rain or intensity of the sunlight on the materials that are being used at the time of construction or which using or gaining the service of the building. Climate, in particular, produces various effects on the design of the building as the area of window becomes less as we move towards equator. This is because of the high temperature in the equator region and by introducing the windows with less area the heat entering the room will also be less. In areas where the rainfall is high we prefer the roofs to be in slope pattern and the materials used are in the form that they would not show any adverse effect due to the presence of the atmosphere. Generally the service provided by the building is reduced by the effect of rain and harsh sunlight on them. Now below we will discuss about the environmental resources on these designs and services.

The environmental resources would include the noise, waste materials, toxic generation, pollution causing agents and many other relatable resources which are formed by the environmental reasons. The effect in the service of the building is clear that there will be less quality provided by the building in terms of service according to the life of the structure and focusing on the design we should be aware that the design and the materials that are to be used in the construction work are to be sustainable in the nature and should resist the problems which are going to be caused by the environmental resources. The sustainability of the building will also help in making the performance of the building better and it will also be good for a better environment.
