The plant located in Texas is responsible for 3/5 of the units, and the rest of the flash devices are manufactured in South Korea. Due to some impurity in the silicon, some flash devices are slow.
It has been reported that 1/3 of the flash devices produced in Texas are slow and hence
considered defective. Furthermore, a study shows that a total of 3/10 of the units produced
by Samsung are slow and defective.
