From the perspective of Joanne Duffy’s quality-caring model, describe the intention of the professional nurse.
There are several opportunities to enhance the quality of patient care.A nurse should maintain and keep some discipline for wellness and selfcare to identifying the intentions of life . Attitude is so much important in this field . it can be positive or negative too. But positive attitude is so much important. Strengthening the nursing workforce through continuing education in research skills, information technology and migrating away from fact based learning to value based learning will effectively add to proportion of more educated nurses. Some important steps in realizing that self-care is important, and then actualizing that awareness into action. The steps are as follow:
1. Do a self-care assessment: This process starts with an assessment, so one of your first step is to create an assessment of how you care for yourself.
2. Diagnose a self-care deficit: The next step is diagnosis, so that’s where we go next on our self-care journey.
3. Plan a course of action: It comes next in the nursing process,
4. Implement the plan: it is very much important to implement the plan .
5. Evaluate your progress: Finally, when you’ve initiated your interventions, you then evaluate your progress and how you’re doing overall.
