Government and it's Food policies are something that need to be thoroughly debated in the contemporary time.
FDA, as we know it and they claim it, is trying to do a dual job by maintaining health of the citizens and also keep the necessary helps to the industries which produce food, to have a decent or good business. But what we need to think about is how biased is the government towards one section.
Primarily, I believe that the government is trying to help the industry giants to keep up their business rather than help the people to be fit and healthy. It is always clear that there is corruption in each level of government organisation and this helps the food industry have flexible options on theor product and without having any concern about the contents that might cause adverse effects to the population.
The movie "Fed Up" has done a decent job in making people understand the food policies undertaken by our government and it's flaws and how much danger these foods have against our health, right from the childhood.
I had a vague idea about yhese food policies, and I thought these mainly concentrated on food adulteration, poisoning, freshness and other stuffs and little had I know about the artificial sweeteners, and sugars and other products that has a threat on our body by making us more obese.
The film did a brilliant job in focusing these particles present in our food materials, their adverse effects and how these effects are creating a mess in our daily life and how hard it is to get rid of these problems even with fitness exercises.
The film also was capable of making us fathom the feelings and troubles those teenage children are going through and help us make a stand against these foods. Besides giving us facts about these food policies and dangers we face, the movie also gives us a chance to change our lifestyle like through the 10 day no sugar challenge and other challenges.
The film as helped us understand what big business the food industry has become and how even the governmental agencies have become influential and how, about whole of the American people have become obsessed about these foods that theyvar unable to lead a helathy life by avoiding these food materials and some of them even after knkwing all these effects.
It is high time that we should have constant discussions and debates that every person understand these problems and make a stand against thess foods. And by doing so, influence the government and also the business personnels to make necessary changes in the food production that could do good for the people of America and throughout the world.
