Community organizing is an art. It requires a diplomatic approach that values everyone’s input. Every members’ perspective and experiences must be considered to create successful interventions and solutions to problems. Bringing diverse people from different “walks of life” together can be difficult.

Consider the following scenario

Concerned citizens of the Good Life community have joined together to create a “no tobacco use in public places” ordinance in their community. This issue impacts many different people. The task force is hosting a town hall to introduce the idea to the community.
