Expert Solution

Most of the nurses are suffering with work pressure, fatigue and stress and finally burn out.

Long working hours, less satisfaction during work, shortage of staff , continuous facing of death during work are the some of the reason for fatigue and burn out .

When a nurse tired due to these situations, she may be physically, mentally and emotionally disturbed. It loses their interest in work and there will be lack of humanity and empathy seems in those nurses. There work seems like mechanical in nature. In such cases therapeutic touch and it's benefit loses. Nurses loses motivation and medical errors occurs. Also patients are more prone for infections and effectiveness of nursing care decreases.

So,it is important to prevent fatigue and burn out of the nurses to ensure quality nursing care.By providing adequate staff and to deligate work in a proper manner it can be prevented. Counseling also need to be included to ensure the mental health of a nurse.

Explain, at the microscale, the process of fatigue, with emphasis on why metals experience fatigue. A pressure vessel is made of aluminum alloy and operates at 15 cycles per minute. It operates 50% of the time at a stress amplitude of 1400 psi; the fatigue life at this stress level is 1,000,000 cycles. The other 50% of the time a stress amplitude of 2100 psi is exerted on the vessel; the fatigue life for the material at this stress level...
