Stoke means it’s damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply. This would be by surgery if it is major clot and will be managed if it is a minor clot. However in this scenario, it is presumed to be a major stroke since he has ended up with paralysis.

Nursing and medical management should be tailored to this patient to prevent complication. If we can’t maintain good personal hygiene and genitalia care that may leads to urinary tract infection, fever and again leads to deteriorate.

Proper nutrition to be maintained.
If we wish to shift her father to rehabilitation centers, we will first go and see the facilities as it should have peaceful atmosphere, all the medical emergency equipment, sufficient staff and house keeping
We will check for the amount to be paid to the particular rehabilitation centers.
We will also take suggestion from the doctors and take his opinion whether this patient can stay home or required care in rehabilitation center. We ask concerned nurse to explain discharge summary what care needs to be provided to the patient at home.
We also make sure about his medications and his next follow-up, we will keep in touch with doctor to convey his improvements and further management.
Nutritional support, psychological support if he is conscious, aggressive physiotherapy and proper medical management will help him for the fast recovery.
