What nursing interventions are necessary when a patient takes a medication that must be monitored by peak & trough levels? Why? (no more than one paragraph answer)
Drug that are come under peak and trough level is hard to manage their constant supply of dose. Second things whenever such dose is apply as a nurse we must be very very careful regarding it's concentration in blood and patient out symptoms.
Nursing intervention
1. Blood data
Blood data analysis is very useful tools while medication of patient as these data gives us idea about how much drug we have administrated and how much drug that are present in blood at current time. By analysing this data you must conclude that what is the next dose of these patient?
2. Urine analysis
This is also useful tools for the patient medication as these data give you what amount of drug is eliminated from your body.
3. Patient history
Generally those patients are at high risk having kidney failure as drug is not eliminated property in these patient. So in this you must be very careful while assigning next dose to patient.
