2. This is widely used in the research field during the recent years. They are applied in assembling and annotating the genome sequences and to identify the homologous sequences by comparing the gene sequences.
3. The Bioinformatics programs can be used to compare the sequence of a novel protein to the proteins with the related sequence to know the clues of its purpose, which is important in the drug discovery and gene therapy
